They work hard to make the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions become reality and you can help brighten a child’s day too. Join Make-A-Wish for its 25th annual Northeast Ohio Walk- for-Wishes at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo this Saturday, October 7th.
Director of marketing for Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana Todd Reigle says the organization granted quite a few wishes this summer. He said Logan wished for a bass boat and the Cleveland and Toledo Chapters worked together with Bass Pro Shops to make it happen, Ethan and family returned from Lake Tahoe over the labor day weekend after enjoying lots of outdoor activities, Allora had the opportunity to visit Mall of America, Darren who is a bit shy and is autistic returned from Hawaii where he enjoyed riding in a submarine and Donovan is headed on a Disney Cruise with his parents and cousin this week! In addition, Reingle says Make-A-Wish is helping a young man in the Cleveland area get a full basketball court installed at his house.
Make-A-Wish is expecting more than two thousand walkers, sponsors and volunteers for this Saturday’s Walk-for-Wishes and News 5 Anchor Frank Wiley will be on hand to welcome participants and emcee the event. Registration begins at 7:30am and the walk will start promptly at 9:00am. Walk-for-Wishes raises funds for Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana
