Fat Head's Brewery, the region's second largest brewer of craft beer, is opening a new restaurant in Middleburg Heights.

The brewery's headquarters is already housed on Sheldon Road in Middleburg Heights, but will soon be joined by a full-scale restaurant on Engle Lake Drive.

The restaurant opened a North Olmstead location in 2009, selling more than 5,000 barrels of beer in its first three years in business.

The brewery sells a variety of craft beers from IPAs to stouts, including summer classic Bumble Berry - a honey blueberry ale. The company's brews have won silver and bronze medals at the Great American Beer Festival and a gold medal at the Denver International Beer Fest.

The new location will have a ground breaking ceremony on July 25. The new restaurant will be 75,000 square feet, almost 40,000 square feet larger than the Sheldon Road location.

It will be located at 17450 Engle Lake Drive in Middleburg Heights and will feature a full food and drink menu.
