Three kilos of cocaine worth $300,000 were seized after tracking suspected smugglers last week, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced Friday.

Investigators from the Miami Valley Bulk Smuggling Task Force tracked Jorge Alberto Enriquez and Jose Artemio Sloss at a Dayton-area hotel and followed them through several states.

Law enforcement stopped the pair's vehicle on Thursday during a trek from Detroit to the Miami Valley and discovered the three kilos of cocaine. When officials searched their hotel room they found $234,848 in cash and a gun.

Both men were arrested on federal drug charges of conspiracy to distribute cocaine. They were taken to the Montgomery County Jail.
