It can be frustrating looking for a job and getting ahead, especially if you're rejoining the workforce or have a spot on your record.

That's why the 'Breaking Barriers Hiring Event' was started this year.

It takes place at Cuyahoga Community College Friday and helps veterans and people with legal issues find jobs.

Twenty-seven employers, including the VA and the City of Cleveland, will be there to interview people looking for a fresh start.

Those interested can attend the job fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cuyahoga Community College, Metro Campus, Advanced Technology Training Center (ATTC) Building, 3409 Woodland Ave, Cleveland, OH 44115.

There is free parking and the building is RTA accessible.

Applicants are asked to arrive dressed for an interview with several copies of your resume.
