Two juveniles were injured when they ran from police and crashed into a fire hydrant and a tree in Akron
AKRON, Ohio - Two juvenile boys were injured in a crash early Monday when they led Akron police on a short chase.
Police say they attempted to pull the boys over when they took off.
But the chase only lasted a minute before the driver hit a fire hydrant and then a tree on Snyder Street.
The passenger had to be transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver was walking and talking to police before being transported to a local hospital to be checked out.
No information was available about the actual owner of the car or whether the driver had a driver's license.
