On December 7, 2015, Anderson entered Premium New York Style Pizza in Akron and demanded money, according to police.

An arrest warrant alleges Anderson shot Husein after money was rendered. Husein later died from his wounds.

Records state that Anderson "cased the business with an unnamed accomplice."

The pizza shop is owned by Husein's brother, Ammar, who witnessed part of the crime.

Ammar attended a news conference on Thursday morning. He said if Zak was still alive, he would forgive the gunman.

However, Ammar also added a strongly-worded message when asked how he would characterize someone who could commit a crime like this.

"A coward. It doesn't take a lot of strength to pull a trigger," Ammar said. "It hurts more to be locked up, so ultimately it was a cowardly move. He was shaking. He was scared."

Anderson is currently being held at the Mansfield Correctional Institution. He was already serving an 18-21 year sentence for his involvement in eight other robberies at the following locations:

  • Metro PCS on Copley Road in Akron (7/9/2016)
