Amanda Berry 911 call handler investigation nearing end

CLEVELAND - The investigation into the 911 handler who spoke with Amanda Berry is nearing completion.

According to Cleveland City Hall, the investigation is almost complete and an announcement with results is excepted soon.

Amanda Berry called 911 on May 6, 2013 after being held in captivity with three other Cleveland woman for a decade.

The 911 handler is under fire for possible policy violations and use of language during her call for help from a Seymour Avenue home.

According to city hall, their investigation was sent over to another law enforcement agency for a second opinion.

Since the discovery of the three women and a child fathered by captor Ariel Castro, Castro was found guilty of rape and aggravated murder, sentenced and shipped off to prison.

Castro's home along with two neighboring homes have been since been demolished.
