Cleveland police to auction 59 abandoned, forfeited cars and motorcycles

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Division of Police will auction off nearly 60 abandoned or forfeited vehicles next weekend.

The auction will take place on Saturday, March 30 at Cleveland police impound lot #2 at 4300 Bradley Rd. in Cleveland. The gates open at 8 a.m. and the auction starts at 9 a.m., rain or shine.

Cleveland police said all sales are final, and none of them come with a warranty or guarantee. There is a 10 percent cash payment for the winning bid and the rest must be paid within five days.

The money from forfeited cars goes towards the Law Enforcement Trust Fund, which has purchased personal body armor and computers for patrol cars. It has also funded investigation into internet crimes against children.
