Two suspects were taken into custody after a shooting and SWAT situation in Cleveland ended without an arrest early Tuesday morning.
Officers with guns drawn surrounded a house on Cleveland's west side after a man was shot, police said.
Cleveland police and the SWAT team were called to the 3300 block of Walton Avenue at about 9:30 p.m. on Monday.
Police said the alleged shooters ran inside a home and then came out once SWAT had surrounded the home. The two suspects, Francisco Ortiz and Wilfredo Rivas were charged with felonious assault.
The victim was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center to be treated for gunshot wounds to his stomach and liver.
The house is across the street from Walton School, a kindergarten through eighth grade building in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District.
