Paramedics: Man shot in back on Cleveland's east side

CLEVELAND - Cleveland police are investigating after a man was shot Sunday evening on the city's east side.
Cleveland paramedics tell NewsChannel5 they responded to a call for shots fired in the 10500 block of Grandview Avenue at 6:54 p.m.
On scene, first responders found a 24-year-old man who had been shot in the back.
He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center in serious condition.
Police said the suspect went up to the car and tried to rob the victim at gunpoint. The victim tried to disarm the suspect and a struggle ensued, during which the victim was shot, according to officers.
After the shooting, the suspect fled the scene in an undetermined direction. No arrests have been made.
