Remains found along Lake Erie identified as plane crash victim

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed that remains found along Lake Erie in Willowick last week are that of one of the December plane crash victims.

According to the medical examiner's office, the remains belong to 15-year-old John (Jack) Robert Fleming.

The Cuyahoga County Regional Forensic Science Laboratory had previously developed a DNA profile of Jack and confirmed his identity through DNA comparison.

Six people died when a Cessna 525 Citation crashed into the lake on Dec. 29, 2016. 
 
John T. Fleming, the CEO of Columbus-based Superior Beverage Group, was piloting the plane. His wife, Suzanne, and their two sons, Jack and Andrew, and neighbors Megan and Brian Casey, were also aboard the aircraft. 
 
So far, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office has positively identified three of the six victims from the crash – John (Jack) R. Fleming, John T. Fleming, and Brian Casey.
