CLEVELAND - The RTA driver involved in an altercation on his bus was sentenced Tuesday.
Artis Hughes was initially given a 90-day jail sentence but 87 of those were suspended under the condition that there are no similar incidents during his two-year probation period.
Hughes will also have to pay a $1,000 fine and take anger management classes.
The 59-year-old changed his plea from not guilty to no contest in April.
Video that went viral shows Hughes uppercutting 25-year-old woman Shi'dea Lane who allegedly refused to pay a fare, according to a police report.
