Family members of a young Mansfield mother who was the victim of a tragic murder-suicide triggering an Amber Alert say police have left them with too many unanswered questions.
20-year-old Kaitlyn Carroll Peak pleaded for her life as she was shot to death March 8th while her 7-week old baby girl was in the back seat of her car.
22-year-old Dakota Steagall later shot himself to death after leaving the baby with his family and then leading police on a high-speed chase.
Now, more than a week later, family members say Mansfield Police have left them in the dark on key unanswered questions.
Kaitlyn's father says he "wants everyone to be hurt and angry".
"We're not the first people this has happened to and we won't be the last," said Kevin Peak.

- And why did police fail to immediately search Kaitlyn's apartment for clues that may reveal more information?
Family members say Kaitlyn had broken off the relationship two years ago and would never have left her apartment willingly.
An eyewitness told police they saw the two arguing in Kaitlyn's car that was parked outside Steagall's apartment miles away - then saw her flee the car pleading for her life.
Her father said he immediately went to Kaitlyn's apartment that night when a friend saw a Facebook post that his daughter had been murdered and called Mansfield Police "five times" begging them to come to the apartment for possible evidence in the case that could lead answer questions whether others were involved.
"Her parents went to the apartment and saw chairs overturned, knives on the counter and we believe she was abducted," said Kaitlyn's aunt.
"I wasn't just her aunt," said Trisha Carroll, "she was my best friend."
Kaitlyn's father is demanding answers from Mansfield Police and asking "Why there were so many failures on my daughter's case?"
