A couple who has been together for 30 years is finally saying their 'I do's' and their story inspired complete strangers to help make their day extra special.

Paul Watts and Cathy Taylor met at a funeral 30 years ago this week.

Watts followed Taylor to Cleveland, and, while he says there have been ups and downs, he says it's been the best three decades of his life.

"She straightened me out a whole lot," he told News 5. "I used to be a little wild child. When I met her I had to quit that."

The couple always said if they stayed together 30 years, they would get married. Unfortunately, Watts was diagnosed with terminal cancer and has been given only months to live.

Their love story got out and vendors from across Northeast Ohio stepped in to give them the wedding of their dreams. The vendors include: Married by Megan, Taproot Catering, Aunties Wedding Whimsies, The Church in Silver Lake, Bellas sweet shop, Statement Limousine, LLC, Cleveland Sunset Limousine, Katie Wilczewski Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant, Gagan Kaur Photography, Sophie Dash Photography, Event Customs, Thompson Entertainment, Courtyard Akron Stow and hair stylist Kiernan Fuerst.

Watts said marrying Taylor ensures he'll be with her for the rest of his life.
