ASHLAND, Ohio - A fourth suspect in case of an Ashland woman and her daughter held captive is in custody.
Police said 21-year-old Dezerah Silsby turned herself into authorities on the charge of forced labor on Wednesday. She is set to appear in court on Thursday at 2 p.m.
According to federal agents, Shannon Eckley and her 5-year-old were held against their will for two years. They were allegedly forced to perform manual labor inside a West Main Street apartment, while being beaten and threatened with snakes.
On Tuesday, police arrested Jordie L. Callahan, 26, Jessica Hunt, 31, and Daniel Brown, 33, were all arrested and charged with forced labor. Callahan was also charged with tampering with a witness.
The victim, who is cognitively disabled, was forced to sleep on a concrete floor in the basement and was only allowed to eat the food her captors leftover, investigators said.
