A man has been charged after he ditched his car on a set of railroad tracks in Olmsted Falls, causing an Amtrak train to hit the vehicle.
According to an Amtrak spokesperson, the incident happened around 2:46 a.m. near Columbia Road.
Officials said the crash involved Amtrak train 30, which travels daily between Chicago and Washington D.C.
No one was injured in the crash.
Olmsted Falls police said the man was driving over the tracks and when he spotted the train he ditched the vehicle.
He was later charged with OVI, police said.
The man's name has not been released.
