One suspect arrested in Dollar General armed robbery that left one store clerk in critical condition

A Dollar General store clerk was shot in the chest after a violent robbery at the Dollar General on Miles Road in Cleveland Tuesday night.

The victim was a 30-year-old man who was found unresponsive behind the counter by police. He was taken in critical condition MetroHealth Medical Center.

The store manage told police he was in the back of the store when he heard his employee calling his name.

The manager walked to the front of the store and saw a man wearing khakis and a blue bandana to cover his face.

He attempted to run, but the suspect saw him and said " Come here before I bust you," according to the police report.

The store manager saw his employee was cornered behind the register. 

He then heard one gun shot and saw three men run out of the store.

Surveillance video showed all the men wearing blue gloves and hoodies tied around their faces as they entered the store.

Evidence was collected around the area where the suspects fled. Police found a hoodie with fresh blood on it and two gray hoodies.

Shawnterrian Robinson, 19, of Cleveland was arrested at MetroHealth Medical Center after arriving at the hospital with a gunshot wound to his right hand.

Two other suspects connected to the robbery are still at large.
