Rocky River police have released body camera video of the aftermath of a car that plowed through a convenience store on Hilliard Boulevard.

Investigators said the driver plowed through utility poles at 40 mph, crashed into the middle of the Convenience Food Mart Sunday and pinned the clerk in the debris.

Officers helped free the clerk, but the driver hid in a store cooler.

Police say the driver claimed to have a gun but was holding a hairbrush and said he wanted a beer.

Police tased the man and arrested him.

Police Chief Kelly Stillman said the driver is being treated for mental health issues.
