An 18-year-old Mayfield Heights man was arrested for OVI earlier this week after being clocked going 140 mph in a 60 mph zone.

According to Solon police, Artur Pakis was driving 140 mph on U.S. 422 eastbound Sunday around 3:12 a.m.

As an officer was trying to catch up with him, another officer found the man crashed at the State Route 91 exit.

Police said Pakis showed signs of impairment as he was being taken into custody.

He was arrested and taken to jail where he submitted to a breath test with a result of .091 BAC, according to police.

Pakis was charged with OVI, prohibited BAC, reckless operation, failure to control and speed.
