WICKLIFFE, Ohio - A 16-year-old is being held at the Lake County Juvenile Detention Center after leading police on a chase in a stolen car.
Wickliffe police say a patrol officer ran the license plate of a Ford SUV around 3:25 p.m. Wednesday and found it had been reported stolen the day before in East Cleveland.
When the officer tried to stop the SUV, the driver sped away and a short chase ensued.
The SUV got stuck on the railroad tracks at the north end of East 289th St. and police took four suspects into custody.
The 16-year-old driver from Maple Heights is being held on charges of receiving stolen property-auto, and fleeing and eluding.
