A kayaker who went missing after his kayak capsized in the Grand River in the Hidden Valley Metroparks just after 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday has been found.
The fire departments of Perry, Painesville, Fairport Harbor and Madison responded to the Metroparks to find three kayakers out of the water.
The three kayakers were able to get out of the water themselves. They said their friend's kayak capsized in the water but they were unable to locate him.
The kayaker wandered through the woods and found assistance at a nearby house. He contacted a family member who picked him up from the location.
He was transported to University Hospitals Geneva Medical Center for treatment.
