An inmate from the Lorain Medina Community Based Correctional Facility escaped Thursday while out on a social pass.
Inmate Todd Allen Drake was given a social pass, generally used by inmates to look for employment, to leave the facility at 10 a.m. and return by 4 p.m.
Around 3:15 p.m., Drake's transporter called the Lorain Medina CBCF. She said Drake became upset at Cascade Park and asked if she could stop so he could use the restroom. After about five minutes, the transporter realized Drake was gone and could not find him.
The Lorain County Sheriff's Office received a call around 7 p.m. saying Drake had been located. The BOLO call was canceled.
