Would-be robber tried to steal from Brunswick gas station but clerk refused to hand over money

Detectives are looking for a would-be robber after he fled from a gas station when the clerk refused to give him money, according to Brunswick police.

The suspect, who is described as a white male, standing about 5-foot-6-inches tall, and wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, black pants and dark shoes with white soles, walked into the BP Gas Station, 15 Brunswick Road, and demanded money from the employee.

According to police, the clerk refused the request and the suspect turned and fled eastbound on Boston Road.
