An early morning fire in Cuyahoga Falls forced the evacuation of an entire apartment building.

Cuyahoga Falls fire officials say four people were taken to the hospital, including a firefighter, with minor injuries.

According to authorities, the fire started on the first floor of the Studio City apartments on Winter Parkway.

It was contained to one apartment but all 66 units were evacuated.

Even though the flames were contained, other parts of the building experienced smoke damage.

A woman who lives right above the apartment that caught fire said the smoke was overwhelming.

"Both my sliding doors were open so, as the smoke was billowing out of the apartment, it came directly into mine," said Kim Reid.

Fire officials told News 5 some residents would be allowed back into the building Friday to get their belongings.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
