It is a trend online that is extremely popular - buying and selling everything from baby clothes to household items on social media sites.

Plenty of police departments offer "safe spots" at their departments for e-commerce. But, the Sagamore Hills Police Department has taken it one step further, going high tech in the process.

The department now has state of the art camera focused on the two parking spots as well as a DVR.

"You never know who is posting on social media sites. It's not a face to face encounter," said Lt. Brian Piekarski. "You never know who will show up," he added.

It's a way for people to feel safe while conducting business, said Piekarski. The safety zones are also used for child exchanges. Police said the area is used very often.
