People around the globe tweet questions to Pope Benedict following announcement of his resignation

CLEVELAND - Twitter feeds continue to be flooded with questions for Pope Benedict XVI, who announced Monday he will resign at the end of the month. The 85-year-old pope was the first to join Twitter on Feb. 28, 2012.

According to Twitter's blog, the @pontifex is his primary account in English, however, he also oversees several other accounts in major languages that offer translations of his tweets including Spanish, Italian, German and French.

The pope's last day will be Feb. 28. Pope Benedict is the first pontiff to resign in nearly 600 years.
