DEARBORN, Mich. - The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office is asking for the Dearborn police to further investigate before they decide whether any charges will be filed in the shooting death of 19-year-old Renisha McBride.
McBride's body was found by officers early Saturday morning in the 16000 block of Outer Drive on a porch.
A 911 call was made but investigators will not say who made the call or whether it was before of after the shooting.
Those behind the page are alleging McBride had gotten in a car accident that morning and was knocking on a resident's door for help, when she was shot by someone from the home.
The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office released this statement today:
"We have asked that further investigation be conducted by the police in this case. We will not be able to make a charging decision until the requested work has been completed. Ms. McBride's parents have been informed of our position."
