The word “tweet” is now in the Oxford English Dictionary
CLEVELAND - It's a sign of the times. The word "tweet" is now in the Oxford English Dictionary.
It's defined as "a posting made on the social networking service Twitter."
A word usually has to be around for 10 years before it is put in the dictionary, but Oxford says "tweet" is catching on.
"Tweet" wasn't the only tech word included in the dictionary's latest update. "Big Data," "crowdsoucing," "e-reader" and "mouseover" were also added.
