The Indians will lose free agent relief pitcher Joe Smith to the Los Angeles Angels. CBS Sports Jon Heyman is reporting the deal is for 3 years and worth 16 million.

Smith was picked up by the Indians in a trade from the New York Mets in December of 2008. He was a part of a three team trade that send outfielder Franklin Gutierrez to Seattle.
