Although the Cavaliers may not have won the 2017 NBA Championship, the city of Cleveland is still home to the best in the NBA.

An honor that was proved at Wednesday's night's ESPY Awards - when King James received the title of 'Best NBA Player'. This is the fifth time he's received the honor, holding the reigning title from last year's award ceremony.

This year, he beat out notable nominees Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kawhi Leonard for the honor.

James did not attend the ESPY Awards ceremony in Los Angeles, but instead sat courtside at the Lakers vs. Sixers summer league game, where famous rookie Lonzo Ball played.

James proved why he's called 'The King' during this year's 2017 NBA Finals, when he averaged 33.6 points in the Cleveland Cavaliers' finals run.

This marks the third time James has been crowned the NBA king as a Cleveland Cavalier. He received the honor for the first time in 2007 while with Cleveland. He was also honored with the title in 2012 and 2013 as a member of the Miami Heat. He has received the award for the last two years as a Cavalier.

Previously, James has won ESPYs in the Best Male Athlete, Best Championship Performance and Best Breakthrough Athlete categories.
