Storm damage: Power outages in Geauga and Portage counties

BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio - The first round of spring storms from hail and power outages to northeast Ohio on Wednesday.

A small bridge behind a house in Broadview Heights was hit by lightning at about 5 p.m., the fire department said. There was no damage to the Broadview Road home.

Geauga County: 745
Portage County: 92
Summit County: 91

The storm damage continued in Summit County. Bath police said Revere Road at Revere Drive is closed because of a tree down on wires. There is no access to this area and officers are urging motorists to find an alternate route.

Brunswick police said North Carpenter between Hanover and Malvern was closed because of flooding.

Viewers reported to Power of 5 meteorologist Mark Johnson that Massillon experienced pea-sized hail, while quarter-size hail hit Dover and New Philadelphia.
