Mike currently co-anchors the 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts each Saturday and Sunday nights and reports three days a week on News 5 Cleveland.
He's held a number of roles at WEWS. One he is most proud of is the successful launch of "the Now Cleveland," an untraditional newscast, in September of 2014. Mike co-anchored the Now until May of 2016.
Prior to joining "the Now Cleveland," Mike successfully helped launch another exciting new concept for Scripps in Northeast Ohio. He played an integral role in getting "the List" Cleveland bureau off the ground in June 2012.
Mike comes to Cleveland via Detroit, MI. He was hired by the Detroit Free Press in April 2009 to anchor morning headlines from the newspaper on the CBS O&O station in the Motor City.
Over the last 18 years in Broadcast Journalism, Mike has worked as a photographer, reporter, producer and news anchor in five different television markets across the country. Four of those markets were in the Midwest where Mike feels quite at home.
Mike was born and raised in suburban Chicago. He is married and has a daughter.
