THURSDAY NIGHT FORECAST UPDATE: October is over. At least for now. August weather returns beginning Friday and will last thru next week.
High pressure will clear the skies for tonight. Light northerly winds will keep low temperatures in the middle and upper 50s tonight.
More sunshine should be the rule on Friday. As the high pressure shifts east, southerly breezes will help warm us up during the afternoon to between 75 & 80 degrees.
Friday evening temperature will settle back into the 60s by 11pm, making for great weather on high school football night. Saturday stays warm with highs near 82. I can't rule out an isolated thunderstorm by late afternoon or evening.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT FORECAST UPDATE: More lake effect rain showers are in store for Northern Ohio overnight tonight. Skies will be cloudy for the most part. Temperatures will fall back to near 55 degrees by sunrise.
The upper level low pressure over Quebec will finally slide east during the day on Thursday. After an isolated morning shower, skies should begin to brighten a bit during the afternoon. With northerly winds, we'll still see temperatures below average. But, I think we'll still see high temperatures between 70 & 75 degrees during the afternoon.
Friday looks sunny and finally warmer! Highs will approach 80 degrees during the afternoon. Saturday looks like Summer again, with high temperatures in the middle and upper 80s!
WEDNESDAY FORECAST: More cool and cloudy weather for your Wednesday. Isolated rain showers are spinning in off of Lake Erie, wrapping around an upper level low pressure north of Lake Huron. These isolated showers will continue on and off again today before finally tapering off early Thursday. Morning low temperatures in the 50s under mostly cloudy skies.
Clouds and a few showers can be expected for your afternoon and evening as well. High temperatures continue to feel October-like as we stay in the upper 60s.
Thursday will be mainly dry with a little more sunshine. Temperatures will climb up to between 70 & 75 degrees. High pressure will finally take over and that helps warm temperatures toward the weekend.
Friday brings more sunshine and temperatures in the upper 70s!
Next week looks warmer as well!
TUESDAY EVENING FORECAST UPDATE: More cool and cloudy weather for tonight. Isolated rain showers are spinning in off of Lake Erie, wrapping around an upper level low pressure north of Lake Huron. These isolated showers will continue on and off tonight through Wednesday, finally tapering off Wednesday evening. Overnight lows will drop back into lower and middle 50s.
Clouds and a few showers continue Wednesday. High temperatures will once again feel October-esque, around 70 degrees.
Thursday stay dry with a little more sunshine. Temperatures will climb up to between 70 & 75 degrees. Friday brings more sunshine and temperatures in the upper 70s!
TUESDAY FORECAST: A stubborn upper level low pressure will continue to sit and spin just north of the Great Lakes thru Thursday. Cooler than average temperatures will flow in across Northern Ohio for much of the week. A few rain showers will try to sneak down across Lake Erie from lower Michigan every 24 to 36 hours or so. They should remain mostly near the lakeshore.
Mostly cloudy skies near the lake but clear far inland. Isolated showers near the lake can be expected this morning. Lows around 50 and 56 degrees.
Cool weather continues to slide for your Tuesday. Highs will climb up to near 70 degrees during the afternoon. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy with just a small chance for an isolated rain shower in our Lakeshore counties.
High temperatures will reach into the lower 70s Wednesday & Thursday as well. With a very small rain shower chance Wednesday. High pressure starts to reign Thursday sliding East and warming us for the weekend.
MONDAY FORECAST: Fall makes a return to Northeast Ohio. Rain ended in the early morning hours dumping on average 0.10-.25" of needed rain. Clouds are clearing this morning and temperatures are dropping to near 60 degrees. Sunshine prevails throughout the day and so does the cooler, breezy air in place. Strong west winds at 15mph with high temperatures near 75 degrees.
Small rain chances return later tonight and sticks around until late Wednesday as a series of troughs sag south. Rainfall amounts will remain very light. The bigger story is the cooler air mass in place. Daytime highs remain below normal this next weekend. Average high is 80 degrees, this week we stay in the lower to mid 70s.
