News Philosophy: My responsibility is to ask the tough questions that the general public does not have the time and sometimes, the access to do. I lay out the facts out so viewers can make educated and informed decisions.
Role Model: Ida B. Wells for the tenacity she showed as an investigative journalist, educator and civil rights leader. She shed light on injustices -- mainly the lynching of black men. She traveled the world to enlighten audiences about these savage killings. Her work is still very much relevant to this day.
Favorite Music: I am a huge Prince fan, and I love Sade, and Coldplay. I listen to just about every type of music.
Favorite Movie: Purple Rain & Coming to America. I also love Trading Places—the old Eddie Murphy movies. 😉
Favorite Program: Cold Case Files, Forensic Files, NCIS LA (LL Cool J 😊), CSI (all of the franchises). Really anything based on crime investigation
Favorite Book: To Kill A Mockingbird
Favorite Food: I am a fan of Mediterranean dishes, which encompasses a large variety of food from various countries. I also love spicy foods. Jerk and Thai dishes are amazing. I have roots Creole roots and can’t get enough of those spectacular dishes that hail from New Orleans.
Family: I’m the oldest of three. Plus, I have an amazing little niece-- my heart.
Hobbies & Interests: I live for traveling. I love experiencing new countries, cultures, and food. I’m also a foodie. Show me a good meal, and I’m guaranteed to have a good time. I’m a pretty good cook as well.
You're most likely to see me around town: Hanging out at the lakefront. I love water – plus the views of Lake Erie and sunsets are STUNNING in Northeast Ohio.
Something most people don't know about me: I worked in casino gaming prior to launching my television career. I started as a cage cashier and then became a table games supervisor. Now, I only play Blackjack when I’m feeling lucky!
What I like best about Northeast Ohio: THE PEOPLE! Everyone is so friendly and helpful!
On the weekends I love to: Take in lake views. I also use the weekend to catch up with friends and family.
