Auditions for speaking roles in Marvel's 'Captain America' film to be held in Cleveland

CLEVELAND - If you want your chance to star in Marvel's next big movie set to film portions in Cleveland, get ready to audition.

The Greater Cleveland Film Commission said the filmmakers will be auditioning for speaking roles, and they're looking for three different types of men. The casting will be held Wednesday, April 10 in the meeting room at the Carnegie West Branch Library, 1900 Fulton Rd. in Cleveland.

Those attending should bring a current headshot and resume. Here are details and times for role:

• 2:30 p.m. - MILITARY SERGEANT
Male African American age range late 30s - 40s
Prefer current &/or extensive military experience

• 3 p.m. - MILITARY POLICE OFFICER
Male any ethnicity age range 28 - 40 yrs.
Experienced military or law enforcement

• 3:30 p.m. - THIN GUY
Male Caucasian age range 18 - 22 yrs. height 5'7"-5'9" 34-38 chest
VERY, VERY lean frame

A casting call for paid extras will be held separately on April 19 & 20. Anyone interested can come to the Tri-C Metro Campus (2415 Woodland Ave.) on April 19 and 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Here are the requirements for extras:

- Be 18 years old or older
- If you have a child 9 years old and over, bring a current, casual snapshot of them
- Bring a pen for application. Your photo will be taken at no charge
- Dress in business attire and "be well groomed"
