Ministry leader laments impact of marathon bombings

MADISON, Wis. - The head of a track and field ministry fears that Monday's deadly bombing at the Boston Marathon will require costly security precautions at future races.
Steve McConkey, president of 4 WINDS, says that as a Christian he's aware there's evil in the world, but still prays for a time when people will be able to walk the streets without fear.
He says the Boston explosions brought back memories of the 1996 Olympic park bombing in Atlanta that left two people dead and 111 injured. McConkey says he and his family were less than 100 yards away from that blast.
Now, he says, "We need to pray for those injured and for the families of those who died in Boston."
