Northeast Ohio students can enter to win $1,000 award from ABC and Youth Service America

CLEVELAND - NewsChannel5 is partnering with ABC and Youth Service America to award five young change-makers making a difference in their community.

We are seeking young people who are creating lasting, positive changes through volunteer and community service projects – especially ongoing, youth-led projects that highlight the creativity and commitment of young people working to meet the needs of others.

Students ages 5-18 years old are eligible to apply for an ABC Summer of Service Award. Applications are due by midnight September 1. (Note: If you are younger than 13, you must have someone older than 13 prepare and submit the application for you.)

Winners will receive a $1,000 award to help make a positive change in the world.

The ABC Summer of Service Awards, in collaboration with Disney Friends for Change, is an initiative that inspires kids and their families to make a lasting, positive change by helping people, communities and the planet.
