Police search for suspect in Akron Rite Aid robbery

AKRON, Ohio - Akron police are asking for the public's help in finding a man who allegedly robbed a Rite Aid.

A suspect entered the store wearing a distinctive ski mask around 11 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28, according to a video posted by police.

They said the suspect told the clerk he "would blow a hole the size of Texas" if he was not given the money from the register and had something in his hand emitting a red laser.

The man then took the money and fled northbound, according to police.

Surveillance video shows the man, who is described as 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing a dark blue jacket with a horizontal stripe, blue jeans, tan boots or shoes and creme-colored gloves, while armed with an unknown weapon.

If you see the suspect, police say to consider him armed and dangerous, not to approach him and call 911.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Hanlon at 330-375-2490.
