AKRON, Ohio — The City of Akron wants help from its residents to monitor and report potholes as the city prepares to fix the crumbling roads later this month.
In a Facebook post to the public, the mayor's office said the city is preparing to lay down new asphalt on approximately 54 miles of Akron streets.
Until crews can start the project, they are dedicating time to filling potholes while the weather is still decent, according to the post.

Residents who spot the potholes are asked to report them using a form on the city's website here.
The public can also report them by calling 311 or 330-375-2311.
