Cleveland police investigating after a violent home invasion on the east side Friday night

CLEVELAND - Cleveland police are investigating and searching for suspects after a violent home invasion on the east side Friday night

Police said the incident happend around 11:00 p.m. when a female arrived at her home on Clermont Road. As the woman exited her vehicle with her 2-year-old son she was approached by a black male with a gun who demanded money. She stated that she did not have money and he then led her inside of the home and another black male took the child from her. She was led into the home at gunpoint by multiple males.

Once she was inside another male arrived home. The suspects then demanded money from this male, pistol whipped and shot him. He received a wound to the buttocks and was grazed by a bullet on the back of his head.

The suspects then ransacked the home. The 5 suspects are described as black males in their 20s, all wearing black clothing and had their faces covered with bandanas.

The child was found in the woman's vehicle unharmed.
