Cleveland Police Week 2017 recognizes law enforcement officers, honors those killed in line of duty

Hosted by the Greater Cleveland Peace Officers Memorial Society, the commemoration recognizes all law enforcement officers for their dedicated service, and honors those who died in the line of duty serving their communities. 

Events open to the public (see map below for locations):

FRIDAY, MAY 19:

Parade and Memorial: Steps off at 10:30 a.m. from Lakeside Avenue and East 12th Street, continuing along Lakeside Avenue to the Greater Cleveland Peace Officers Memorial Society (GCPOM). All are encouraged to gather at the GCPOM immediately following the parade to “Keep the Promise” to never forget fallen heroes.

Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Kenneth Velez and Cleveland Patrol Officer David J. Fahey Jr. will be formally added to the memorial.

Luncheon: For parade participants immediately following the Memorial Service at the FOP Lodge 8 Hall, 2249 Payne Avenue.

SATURDAY, MAY 20:

Police Collectors Show: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Cleveland. For information contact (330) 858-4346 or ohio5213@gmail.com.

Cleveland International Tattoo: Highlighting the weekend will be the “Tattoo” at Cleveland Public Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. 

Featured performers include the United States Marine Corps Quantico Band, The Pipes and Drums of the Cleveland Police, Murphy’s Irish Dancers, and more. ORDER TICKETS
