Man arrested after allegedly stealing car from set of 'Captain America' in downtown Cleveland

CLEVELAND - The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office has filed a criminal complaint after a man reportedly stole a car from the filming site of Captain America in downtown Cleveland.

This comes after Norman Polk was arrested Thursday while seen driving erratically along I-71 in Middleburg Heights.

A Middleburg Heights police cruiser pulled over the male who stated that the car belonged to the set of a movie being filmed in Cleveland and that he had permission to have the vehicle.

Polk reported that a woman on set gave him permission to take the vehicle but could not provide police with her name.

Marvel Studios was contacted by Cleveland police who were able to confirm that a car had been stolen and filed a grand theft motor vehicle report.

According to the prosecutor's office, a criminal complaint was filed Thursday against Norman Polk of Cleveland, Ohio.

Polk received one count of receiving stolen property, a felony of the fourth degree.

Polk is set for his initial appearance in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas at 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28.
