Out of the thousands of people who ran the Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon on Sunday, one local woman pulled through as the winner of the women's race.
Sarah Horbol, 31, of Westlake, finished in 2:51:41. She said it was the biggest win of her running career.
"I have never gotten through the tape before, and doing it in my hometown was special," Horbol said.
Second and third place went to Anna Balouris (2:57:30) of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, and Gladys Cheboi (2:58:25) of Kenya.
Horbol also won $3,000 for her victory.
