Police investigating if East Cleveland murder suspect Michael Madison acted alone

EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio - NewsChannel5 learned that police are investigating whether Michael Madison acted alone.

The 35-year-old was arrested for the murders of three women in East Cleveland on Friday.

Tuesday morning, Madison was transported from the East Cleveland Police Department to the Cuyahoga County Jail. He is charged with three counts of kidnapping and three counts of aggravated murder.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified two of the three victims. East Cleveland officials said Tuesday that that body found in the yard of an abandoned house on Saturday is that of 28-year-old Shetisha Sheeley.

Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner Thomas Gilson said the public played a role in helping identify Sheeley. Gilson released detailed information about several tattoos that Sheeley had on her body.

The causes of death have not been released.

"We are still searching, we are pursuing every lead," East Cleveland Mayor Gary Norton said.

Family members told NewsChannel5 that the third victim is 18-year-old Shirellda Terry, who was reported missing on July 10.
