Cleveland Indians are back in the playoffs

The Cleveland Indians are back in the playoffs. They will host a one game Wild Card Playoff game on Wednesday night at Progressive Field at 8:07 p. m.

The Indians ended the regular season on a ten game winning streak. The defeated the Minnesota Twins 5-1 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Indians end the month 21-and 6.

They were powered by a Nick Swisher two run homer in the first inning. Ubaldo Jimenez struck out 13 batters in the Indians victory.

This marks the Indians first trip back to the playoffs, when they were defeated by Terry Francona's Boston Red Sox in game 7 of the American League Championship Series.
