Cleveland Indians, equipment trucks leave for spring training in Goodyear, Arizona

Goodyear will be Indians home for 2 months

CLEVELAND - There is always one glimmer of joy in the middle of our ever-changing Cleveland winter -- and that's the day that the Cleveland Indians decide that they, too, have had enough of this dreary weather. 

The Tribe, along with baseballs, bats, gloves, uniforms, weights, sunflower seeds and six pallets of water, are making a more than 2,000 mile journey to the sun drenched spring training site of Goodyear, Ariz.

It's the spot where Indians players and staff will spend two months training in the warm southwest climate. 

This year finds a new coaching staff, as well as anticipated newly acquired players.
