BEREA - A beautiful day in Berea for the start of the 2013 Browns training camp, sunny skies and temperatures in the low to mid 70's today for the players to take the field.

4:15 Jimmy Haslam addresses the media. Tells media his family plans on owning the team for a long long time. Apologizes for any discomfort all the bad publicity has caused Browns fans.

Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski said day one of Browns Training Camp was a "sucess". The first year head coach ran out at the begining of practice and ran down the line of fans slapping outstretched hands and that enthusiasm carried over until the end of practice when he ran off the field pumping his fist in the area as Browns fans barked their approval in dog pound style.

So who had a good day?. Trent Richardson looked as quick and injury free as he has ever been. The Browns number one pick from a year ago told the media back on June 5th he would be ready for training camp and he was. Running and cutting with all the explosiveness of a healthy running back.

Greg Little wowed the big crowd several times with some spectacular catches from the arm of Brandon Weeden, Little credited his work in the off season with Weeden as a reason for his great start. Little was asked how good he could be and he said " I fully intend to reach all my goals on my way to being a top level receiver in this league"

Defensively, Chris Owen who is battling with Buster Skrine for the right corner position made a couple of outstanding defensive plays, including a interception early in the 11 on 11 drills. He told me after practice, the pressure is on to have this kind of practice every day because he knows in for a battle with Skrine.

And finally from the "How did that happen" department. Browns tackle Joe Thomas found himself on the bottom of a huge scrum when a fight broke out after one play. Thomas laughed and said, " I had no idea what was going on, I had players falling all over me", he went on to say, "that will happen at camp you always get that guy who wants to take it just a little too far before someone fights back"

The practice was crisp and lasted two and a half hours. The only injury of the day went to Josh Gordon who hobbled up after missing on a throw from Brandon Weeden. It appeared at first to be a cramp as he hobbled back to get work on his right leg from the trainer.

Practice continues tomorrow from 4-6:30pm.
