New uniforms? Browns could change colors, logo but not until 2015

CLEVELAND - The traditional look of the Browns may see a change but not for a couple of seasons.

Owner Jimmy Haslam told ESPN Cleveland the team will consider altering its colors and logos but only after an exhaustive 24-month consultation with NFL marketing and Nike, the league's outfitter.

Haslam said one untouchable item in any makeover is the team's signature orange helmet.

The Browns had initially been looking to make tweaks as soon as the 2014 season but opted for a more comprehensive evaluation before making any decision.

While changes are possible, Haslam has made it clear that it is not a certainty and the team is exploring its possibilities.

Since their first season in 1946, the Browns have been wearing orange and brown with few alterations to their uniforms.
