CLEVELAND - St Ignatius junior, Connor McGowan, is a two-sport athlete and boasts a 4.3 cumulative GPA. Currently, he is in hockey season. According to McGowan, balancing athletics and academics requires tremendous discipline.
"I wake up 6:15a.m., get to school before 8:00a.m, classes all day. (I) practice usually from 3:30p.m. to 5:00p.m.. I will usually have some lifting of something like that after practice. So I am usually getting home around 6:30 and then homework until 10:00.p.m," he explained.
He shares a passion for ice hockey with his father, who also played. In college he would like to particpate in club hockey, while pursuing a career in biomedics.
