Most Memorable Stories: I’ve told a lot of heartbreaking stories, which have stuck with me. One was about a talented sophomore basketball player who was doing what he loved, when he collapsed on the basketball court after asking for something to drink…he died almost immediately after of a rare heart condition. It wasn’t the fact that a young man died from a condition that went undetected by his doctors and annual sports physicals that stunned me, but the impact Javon had on so many people and the way his community (Tyner) continues to celebrate him to this day.

News Philosophy: “Not everything that is faced can be changed; but nothing can be changed until it is faced” – James Baldwin

Role Model: My mother! She embodies everything I aspire to be as a woman.

Favorite Sports Teams: I was born and raised a Buckeye, but I love to support my ‘Canes fam. However, I’m looking forward to cheering on all our Cleveland teams!

Favorite Music: R&B, Hip Hop

Favorite Movie: This is always the hardest question! I’d have to say Love Jones…but Brown Sugar, Money Talks and Friday are in my Top Five. Also, anything Marvel and Jim Carrey related. (Told ya it’s a hard one haha).

Favorite Program: Grey’s Anatomy!...I’d like to think I graduated from Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital 😊

Favorite Food: I love a good steak!

Family: I have a HUGE family. However, I’m the oldest of three!

Hobbies & Interests: I love to sing/make music. As a former collegiate track athlete, I have to say running.

You're most likely to see me around town at: At Chipotle or a grocery store.

Something most people don't know about me: I’m a true homebody/introvert, but I’m a social butterfly in public. I love entertaining and making people laugh.

What I like best about Northeast Ohio: The people. I haven’t been here long, but already I’ve been welcomed by so many smiling faces.

On the weekends I love to: EXPLORE! I am an adventurer at heart. I’m always looking for things to do.
